Making Those Gains with Dan McColgin

from Shake That Soul · host Rose Rising

In this episode, I interview nationally renowned Strength and Conditioning Coach Dan McColgin. Dan has had a long, successful career as a competitive bodybuilder, a Jiu-Jistu competitor and trainer that studied under Grand Master Carlson Gracie, and an MMA and UFC trainer. He worked with the legendary Joe Gold, founder of Gold’s Gym. Eventually he moved on to become a UFC coach for Wanderlei Silva and worked as Strength and Conditioning coach for the WAND Fight Team in Vegas, which is one of the best MMA gyms in the world. In addition to that, Dan spent time in Hollywood acting in movies and is also a published author/poet that spent time with very notable authors. We talk about his journey with competitive weightlifting and martial arts, the required mindset around what it takes to successful, and the importance of also being fulfilled with pursuing creativity. He currently is still doing personal training with both men and women in Prescott, Arizona and truly enjoys helping people become stronger.
