Malik Washington's NFL Draft Blueprint | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Todd McShay just called Malik Washington the most naturally gifted passer he’s seen at the Manning Passing Academy—and that’s a huge deal for his NFL draft stock. Washington’s freshman season was historic: 3,000+ yards, 17 TDs, and Big Ten freshman QB efficiency records. Now, as a sophomore starter, he’s got a chance to prove his breakout year wasn’t a fluke. Scouts want to see smarter decisions, better reads, and clutch performances under pressure. He also needs to improve his efficiency—especially in the red zone and on third downs. But beyond stats, Washington’s leadership matters too. Already showing maturity as a counselor at the academy, he’s positioned to be more than just a talented arm—he’s got the potential to be the face of his program and a future NFL starter.
