Man Arrested for Stabbing Woman in Wheelchair | Montpelier News

A 47-year-old man, Corey Arwood, was arrested in Burlington for allegedly stabbing a 45-year-old woman in a wheelchair on Lake Street. The victim initially said no words were exchanged before the attack, but later recalled making a comment about local drug activity, which she believes triggered the assault. Surveillance footage helped identify Arwood, who was apprehended on September 9th. Police found cocaine and multiple weapons—including three defaced handguns and knives—on him and in his home. He now faces up to 15 years for aggravated assault, with additional charges potentially looming as authorities investigate further. His attorney is reviewing the case and has not yet commented.
