MAN CARED NOT FOR GOD AT ALL

Man Cared Not For God At All - Genesis 4 By: Ptr. Enteng Ramoneda In Genesis 4, we read of the story of two brothers, Cain and Abel. In the course of time, the two brought an offering to the Lord which they had labored for. The Lord regarded Abel and his offering, but not so for Cain. In Cain’s anger, he killed his brother and turned away from the Lord. For his sins, God commanded his judgment. Yet even despite this, God’s redemptive plan is made manifest as he appoints for Adam and Eve another offspring instead of Abel, Seth, in whose time the people began to call upon the name of the Lord. Here we come to understand two things: (1) Man’s controlling sinfulness cares not for God but for himself only, and (2) God’s Sovereign Election kept man’s sinfulness from compromising His redemptive plan.  Join us, as we learn more about how our sinfulness should make us understand that we would never have loved God if He did not sovereignly choose us.
