RAK: Man has a Spirit 1. That which is Born of Holy Spirit is spirit [our mind] (John 3:6) 2. Romans 7:21-25 21 Therefore, when I wish to do good I discover this law, namely, that evil is at hand for me. 22 For I am delighted with the law of God according to the inner man. 23 but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and making me prisoner to the law of sin that is in my members. 24 Unhappy man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of this death? 25 The grace of God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore I myself with my mind serve the law of God, but with my flesh the law of sin. 3. in order that the requirements of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the spirit [mind]. (Romans 8:4) 4. Romans 8:8-9, 13-16 8 And they who are carnal cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not carnal but spiritual, if indeed the [Holy] Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 13 for if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh, you will live. 14 For whoever are led by the [Holy] Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 Now you have not received a spirit of bondage so as to be again in fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons, by virtue of which we cry, "Abba! Father!" 16 The [Holy] Spirit himself gives testimony to our spirit that we are sons of God. 5. We spoke what we learned from the Holy Spirit, combining spiritual (Holy Spirit) with spiritual (man's spirit). (1 Cor 2:13) 6. Galatians 5:16-23 16 But I say: Walk in the [Holy] Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you would. 18 But if you are led by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not under the Law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are immorality, uncleanness, licentiousness, 20 idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions [verbal struggles], jealousies, anger, quarrels, factions, parties, 21 envies, murders, drunkenness, carousing, and suchlike. And concerning these I warn you, as I have warned you, that they who do such things will not attain the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit is: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, 23 faith, modesty, continency [self-restraint]. Against such things there is no law. 7.
