Man who shot his son dead in Ennerdale to sign plea deal
from AM Live on SAfm · host SABC News and Current Affairs
SAfm — 51-year old Sibusiso Tshabalala who is facing a charge of murder for shooting his 16-year old son dead outside his school in Ennerdale in June, will be back in court on December 11. He appeared briefly in the Lenasia Magistrates Court this morning. It is understood that he wants to plead guitly to a lesser charge of culpable homicide and the postponement will give both the defence and state time to finalise the plea agreement. Tshabalala says he accidentally shot his son Luyanda Themba Tshabalala after mistaking him for a hijacker. He had been sleeping in his car waiting for his son to finish his lessons that night. Our reporter Wisani Makhubele was in court.
