If you have relatives or friends with late-stage or metastatic cancer, you will be familiar with the pain that they suffer from – physical pain that is often debilitating. We talk to Dr Mary Cardosa, visiting pain specialist in Hospital Selayang, about whether cancer pain is under-recognised as a medical need. Joining her is Dr Lee Chee Chan, paediatrician sub-specialising in palliative care from Hospital Kuala Lumpur, to share the challenges of managing pain in children.
