In this episode #65, the hosts Naveen Samala & Sudhakar Nagandla interacted with another guest Bhavani.Durga Bhavani Vadlamudi started her professional journey right after obtaining an associate degree from a technical state board as a faculty teaching technical subjects.As the Information Technology industry intrigued Bhavani with enormous opportunities and vast learning it can offer, she started the journey as a Systems engineer and network administrator supporting ITC Ltd. and supported ERP database administration as her next career move.Bhavani took up the Database administrator role with General Electric wherein she managed hundreds of databases along with key initiatives around ERP deployments. In the last decade, Bhavani has taken increased responsibilities within multiple GE businesses in the ERP space helping transform the business units to a more sustainable foundation of IT systems to execute their daily operations. Not afraid of taking complex challenges, she led many successful IT deployments with strong advocacy towards ‘process standardization before digitization’. She is fondly called as ‘ERP Queen’ by the business leaders who are part of her professional journey. “Treat your people by heart, they put brains at work, while you only pay for their hands”, has been Bhavani’s mantra to be an authentic people leader.
