Managing Expectations

The crowds that welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday quickly turned against Him a few days later. Their cheers went from "Hosanna!" to "Crucify Him", largely because Jesus did not fulfill their selfish expectations. They were hoping for a political reformer-a king who would overthrow Rome. But Jesus came with a greater mission as a spiritual redeemer to die on the cross for our sins! In today's study, Pastor Gary challenges us from the Palm Sunday story to keep Christ as King even when He doesn't "perform" the way we want.
