Dr. Darmary Bonilla-Rodriguez is a social worker living in Pennsylvania. Originally from Spanish Harlem in NYC. She is the author of the new book, Modern Marianismo. She shares what’s the book about. We discuss the importance of providing cultural competency work despite being the only one of Latin descent where the majority of the population is white. She also shares her experience being a local school board member in her community, her macro work in PA, which has led to multiple speaking engagements.
