One of my favourite Health podcaster's Shawn Stevenson always says: "Stay Ready, so you don't have to Get Ready." I definitely understood why this would benefit your health. But after being hit with some unexpected financial expenses, that had nothing to do with extra gift giving. I now see how this belief applies in other places of life.
