Maname Nalam | Episode 46 | Who should get themselves for Covid-19 and why it's important to get tested

from KADAL OSAI FM 90.4 · host KADAL OSAI FM 90.4

Although Coronavirus has been on a steady rise, lots of people refuse to get themselves tested to see if they have contracted the virus. There are many reasons for this, from wanting to avoid facing social stigma, to not being able to afford to stay home for more than a week without earning income to run the family. Some of these troubles may seem reasonable from their perspective. But when we see the bigger picture, not getting oneself tested if they had been in a vulnerable situation causes the nation to go backwards in the fight against this terrible virus by letting it spread further. The issues people face, such as social stigma or financial problems, can be overcome with support from the society. In this episode of Maname Nalam, RJ Zeenath analyses the reasons why people, who have been in a vulnerable situation, hesitate to get themselves tested and emphasizes on the need for testing to flatten the curve and achieve victory against this virus.

K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) IT IS WHAT IT IS with SHALLZ - SHALLY ZOMORODI Shally Zomorodi What?  "It is what it is" with ShallZ – Shally ZomorodiWhen? WeeklyHow long? 35 minutesEvery week, Mother of 4, wife, morning TV news anchor and ultimate hostess, Shally Zomorodi talks about life - its up's and downs and how to stay on track in her weekly podcast, ‘It is what it is.’  Known for her high energy, infectious smile and ability to see the cup as half full Shally talks about all things in life and how to work through its challenges.
