Manasseh

This sermon tells the story of King Manasseh, who was raised by a godly father but became one of the worst sinners in the Bible—he worshiped idols, killed innocent people, and led many others into sin. Spurgeon explains that Manasseh didn't believe in God partly because his unlimited power made him proud, and partly because believing in God would have meant he'd have to give up his sinful lifestyle. However, when Manasseh was captured and thrown in prison in Babylon, he finally became humbled, prayed to God for forgiveness, and was amazingly saved and pardoned—showing that no sinner is too bad or too far gone for God to forgive if they truly repent and believe in Jesus Christ.A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on November 30, 1856.
