from Reframing Me - Self-Development & Parenting Teens for Midlife Moms · host Jennifer Brubaker

Send us Fan MailPick your battles. Siphon your power. Choose your hard. Ration your F....As parents of teens, we often hear the phrase "pick your battles." Join me for a conversation on why this is such an important concept for parents to understand and follow, and how following this mantra can help your teens grow and thrive AND bring your family more peace. The Law of Attraction - the Law of Resonance - Manifestation: Like attracts like. We attract what we are into our lives. We create our realities. What we focus on is what we see, what we attract, what we create and who we are. Our lives and our relationships are reflections of us – and of all of the choices that we make – and of the energy that we put out there. And by being intentional and discerning and focused on how and where we are directing our energy - picking our battles, siphoning our power - we manifest the life and the relationships that we want. We manifest our reality. Parenting is hard. Relationships are hard. So prioritize your hard – what is worth your energy, and what isn’t? What needs authority and conflict and what needs active listening and empathy and critical thinking and empowerment? Our energy and our power is limited. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
