Over the course of his 41 years, Mike has earned several noteworthy recognitions for his teaching and coaching. He was “Teacher of the Year” at Trinity Prep; awarded a “Faculty Chair in History” and voted “ISL Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year” while at Lawrence Academy; he was voted Commencement Speaker twice at Friends Academy; received Durham Academy’s prestigious “F. Robertson Hershey Distinguished Faculty Award”; and recently he was inducted into Trinity Preparatory School’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
