Manna

from JFRocks Music Publishing · host Jeff Fiorentino

This track is a complete redo and rewrite of a track I did many years ago in 2013 called "Whole mess'a Vanessa" which I submitted to Showtime for use on one of their shows. This new improved version titled "Manna" is like the original a surf-rock guitar opus of sorts. It moves at a fairly good clip and has a main guitar hook that's built on classic surf music chord changes, but utilizes a lot of bouncing half-step (semi-tone) intervals to create movement. The track moves through some serious modal shifts and vibe changes as with any good surf track, but holds firm with its non-surf Led Zeppelin meets Pink Floyd influences. "Manna was composed and recorded for a TV Pilot project that kind-of vibes with the hopeful theme the song's title represents. With special thanks to Adalina Bonn for the title inspiration. The definition of "Manna" is below for reference for those interested or who ask me about my titles. man·na - (noun) 1. the substance miraculously supplied as food to the Israelites in the wilderness (Exod. 16). 2. an unexpected or gratuitous benefit. ("the cakes were manna from heaven") Enjoy... and as always CRANK IT UP!! I suggest way up for this one of course...
