Engelmayer issued a preliminary injunction barring DOGE members from accessing Treasury data and ordered the immediate deletion of any unauthorized copies. USAID Operations: On February 7, 2025, Judge Carl J. Nichols issued a temporary restraining order against DOGE's plans to place 2,200 USAID employees on administrative leave and to recall overseas USAID workers to the U.S. Treasury Data Access Restrictions: On February 6, 2025, Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly agreed to a proposal to temporarily limit DOGE to "read-only" access of Treasury data until a hearing scheduled for February 24, 2025. Additionally, on January 20, 2025, multiple lawsuits were filed against DOGE alleging violations of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA).
