Marc St Pierre on Suicide: Myths, Realities, and Recovery

from Tell Me You’re Joking · host Tell Me You’re Joking | Gaslight Studio STL

On January 1st of 2026, Marc St Pierre was ready to start the New Year. A knock on the door early in the day from a neighbor would change everything... permanently.  What he soon discovered was that the lifeless body of his best friend, his husband, was sitting just feet away in his patrol car, with a self-inflicted wound that brought about his own "End of Watch."  Having lost my own brother Dana to suicide, Marc and I had a very candid, direct, unscripted conversation about our experiences. We talk about the lack of signs at the time that turned out to be somewhat prophetic in hindsight, the "what-ifs," and so much more. We talk about how we reacted to the inquiries, what we missed, and what justifiably makes us mad now, at them, for what they did.  Consider donating to Special Olympics Missouri in honor of Officer Chris Pederson. Please follow Dana Michael Anderson on Spotify to hear his stories and celebrate the good. #suicideawareness #family #husband #gunsafety #talkmore #brother
