Maybe a product didn’t deliver, a friendship failed, or a shortcut backfired. In Proverbs 11:18–19, we’re warned about the difference between doing what’s right and chasing what looks good in the moment. Righteousness—living in a way that honors God—isn’t just about “being good.” It’s about being rooted in something real and lasting. And if we go all the way back to the beginning in Genesis 1–2, we see God creating everything with care, purpose, and goodness. We weren’t made for fake rewards or shortcuts. We were created in God's image—for truth, life, and relationship with Him.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. What Are You Chasing? Are you after things that feel good for a second but leave you empty? Proverbs says deceptive rewards don’t last, but doing what’s right brings life.2. Your Identity Matters: Genesis reminds us that you were created in the image of God. That means you have worth, purpose, and the ability to reflect His goodness.3. Righteousness Is a Journey: Being steadfast in righteousness isn’t about perfection—it’s about direction. Are you moving toward God or away from Him in your daily choices?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEGod designed you with purpose, made you in His image, and invites you to walk in what is right—not because it’s easy, but because it leads to real life.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for creating me with purpose and calling me to something greater than empty rewards.
