from Jeff Floro's All About Guitar · host LA Talk Radio
Pat Wilkins originally started working for Acoustic Amps, and moved on to finishing and building guitars for David Schecter. Studying under David Schecter and Tom Anderson, Pat started his own business in 1983, both finishing and building guitars and basses. We talk to Pat about his "vintage" line of basses and guitars and also joining us is Howard Ylyate, the designer of the pickups that Wilkins uses on his instruments. Join me and guest host Gary Roudenko, from the Amp Shop Bass Exchange, as we explore how one makes a "vintage" instrument and insights in the design and execution of these beautiful instruments.
