MARCH 13 - Stand Firm in Faith3-Year-Bible Reading: Proverbs 12:7-8; Genesis 22//3-Year Bible (Year 1) Devotional Book Available on Amazon//________________________________________“The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand.” — Proverbs 12:7“By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, of whom it was said, ‘Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.’” — Hebrews 11:17________________________________________Sometimes life can feel like a test, right? You might face situations where you have to choose between what seems easy or what you know is right, even if it's hard. Proverbs 12:7 reminds us that when we stand firm in what’s right, even in the face of opposition, we’re like a house that stands strong against the storm. But how do we stand firm when things are uncertain? One of the best examples we can look to is the story of Abraham in Genesis 22. God asked Abraham to do something that sounded impossible—sacrifice his son, Isaac. But Abraham didn’t hesitate. He trusted God’s promise and believed that even if Isaac had to die, God would bring him back to life. That kind of faith wasn’t easy, but it was what God wanted. When Abraham obeyed, God provided a ram as a substitute for Isaac, showing that God always has a plan, even when we can’t see it.Abraham’s story is a reminder that faith isn’t always about understanding the why or the how. It’s about trusting God no matter what. Proverbs 12:8 says, “A man is commended according to his good sense,” and Abraham showed that kind of good sense when he trusted God in the hardest of circumstances.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Trust in the Unknown: Abraham didn’t know how things would work out, but he trusted God. How do you handle situations where you don’t know what will happen next? Do you trust God, or do you try to figure it out on your own?2. Standing Firm: The righteous stand firm like a house that won’t fall. How can you build your life on God’s Word so that when challenges come, you stay strong in your faith?3. God’s Provision: God provided a ram for Abraham. Have you seen God provide for you in ways you didn’t expect? What’s one thing you can thank God for today?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEWhen life gets tough, remember that God calls us to trust Him like Abraham did. Even when we don’t know the outcome, we can stand firm in faith, knowing that God will provide for us in ways we can’t imagine.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, Thank You for always being there for me, even when life gets tough. Help me to trust You more and stand firm in my faith, just like Abraham did. Teach me to trust Your plan, even when I can’t see the full picture. Thank You for Your provision and for always being faithful. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
