The threat of a greater outbreak of the COVID-19 virus led the NCAA to shut down the winter and spring sports, ending athletics for the 2019-2020 school year. The NCAA Tournament, the College World Series and the Women's College World Series are perhaps the most-notable, 13 different scholarship programs at the University of Texas saw their seasons abruptly end.
