A early night court ruling ensured that the march to the Union Buildings to demand the resignation of President Jacob Zuma takes place today. Earlier the Tshwane Metro administration had prohibited the march saying some requirements had not been complied with. The situation got more confused when the mayor, Solly Msimanga tweeted that - as far as he was concerned - the march had not been prohibited. But a court ruling cleared the whole confusion. The Presidency also said in a statement that it was not opposed to the march. Meanwhile the South African police say they will be ready for all the marches taking place countrywide.
