Welcome to North Coast Chronicles: Tales from the Great Lakes with host, Helen Brohl. Born and raised along the southern shores of Lake Erie, Helen will share experiences, observations, and charming characters from the Great Lakes and region. The first episode is called "March of the Mayflies" with Dr. Carmen Trisler, an aquatic entomologist from Wittenberg University who teaches us about the nature of these interesting and short-lived flying insects. Mayflies emerge from an underwater home to live hard and die young but also tell us about the health of the Great Lakes resource. Follow Helen as she takes us on a journey through the Great Lakes.
