An acorn, quite unpresuming. Yet, it has the potential to become an oak tree. From an oak tree to lumber; from lumber to a ship that sails the world. From a simple acorn, sturdy material to enclose a house that surrounds generations of families.Too often, we think of the immediate, and lose sight of those things which only time can complete. In a culture of the immediate, we forget the diligence and patience that enables an acorn to become the oak.The early followers of Messiah understood the principle of working towards a kingdom that is larger, more powerful than what any individual or generation could create.
