Marco Rubio and Democrats clash over ICC jurisdiction and U.S. sovereignty.

from The Tara Show

In this segment from The Tara Show, host Tara Servatius and co-host Lee discuss the growing influence of far-left and socialist ideology within the Democratic Party, highlighting streamer Hasan Piker’s speech at the College Democrats convention where he wore a Mao-style suit and condemned party moderates. Servatius and Lee draw a contrast between the historical anti-communist stances of past Democratic leaders, such as John F. Kennedy, and current progressive efforts, including NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani's push to enforce International Criminal Court (ICC) warrants against foreign leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu. Examining a recent address by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Servatius argues that progressive rhetoric regarding international courts threatens American national sovereignty and sets a dangerous precedent for future extraditions of U.S. military personnel and political figures.

Tara Servatius: Lee had a great caller to the show a few weeks ago and he made the point, "Look, we lost 58,000 young people fighting in Vietnam just to keep communism off our back porch, out of the hemisphere." Lee: Mm-hmm. Tara Servatius: And he also mentioned, you know, the Bay of Pigs invasion and how far we went to keep communism again out of the hemisphere—not just out of the country, out of the hemisphere. Lee: And that was Democrats and Republicans. Tara Servatius: Yes! And now we're actively watching the Chinese Communist Party take over, via the Democratic Socialists of America, of the Democrat Party as China becomes the key funding source for a lot of the Democrat grassroots machinery. And that's what we're seeing with the hundreds of millions of dollars that's pumped into all these Democrat Party groups via Neville Singham, who is an American who's gone and moved to China and now I guess is a loyal communist. Lee: I would—I would encourage people that are interested in history to go back and look at the comments that Democrat President John F. Kennedy had about communism and what lengths this country would go to stop it. Tara Servatius: And then think about where we are today! Lee: And now his party is actively seeking to elect Marxist communist candidates! Tara Servatius: Which led to the freak show this weekend! It truly was a freak show. I mean, like, I can't imagine—JFK would have had a heart attack seeing this weekend! Lee: Yes. Tara Servatius: Hasan Piker... Who's Hasan Piker? Hasan Piker is the most powerful person in the Democrat Party right now. He's the kingmaker. If you're wondering how did that weirdo Graham Platner go from zero to more popular, to 10 points more popular than the sitting governor who was popular to begin with, of Maine, and knock her out of the primary? Hasan Piker! Why is El-Sayed in first place in Michigan? Hasan Piker! He coronates these people. How did Zohran Mamdani rise to the top of a crowded field—he wasn't the only socialist in it—running for mayor? Hasan Piker! Hasan Piker campaigned with him and featured all these people on his popular Twitch channel, okay? So this is, I would argue—and I've been arguing for a while, Lee—the most powerful guy right now in the Democrat Party, okay? He shows up this weekend to speak at the College Democrats National Convention in D.C. dressed in a Mao Zedong suit! Lee: Yeah, I saw that. I'm like, are you serious? Tara Servatius: Mao Zedong suit! If you look it up, what—what is that? What is that? It is the—they're calling it the Chinese tunic suit that all of the Chinese dictators will wear. Lee: Those of us of a certain age will remember that well. Tara Servatius: Yes! It's very iconic. Once you see it, you'll know. Chairman Xi wears one sometimes; he wore it all the time—it's called the Mao suit, okay? Shows up in a full-on Mao suit to deliver his address to the College Democrats National Convention! Hasan Piker (audio clip): No more to the Democrats who compromise, who conciliate, and who betray us! No more to the Democrats who will collaborate and cooperate with the fascists, who will fund ICE, who will fund Israel, who will help poison the planet, who will stiff workers and help bosses! We don't need those Democrats anymore! We are coming! We are en masse! We're en route! We're en bound! And we will become undeniable! Lee: "We are commies!" [Laughter] That's what he ought to say! I thought he almost said that. Tara Servatius: He might as well have! I mean, you wear that suit... Think about this for a minute. Mao Zedong was responsible for—this is Harvard, okay—was responsible for 40 to 80 million deaths! And he did a lot of it with deliberate campaigns of starvation. Some of it, millions more killed through political persecution, and other parts, 1 to 3 million of the deaths, purge of capitalists and what they called "traditional elements" within Chinese society. So killed 1 to 3 million people for their political vie ...
