Early days, Marcus offered his time in return for work experience at a pirate Radio station where he was able to learn the ropes and hone his skills. Then after sending his CV in multiple times to no reply, Marcus finally got a call back from BBC 1Xtra to help out as a runner/producer. Eventually, his personality and passion earned Marcus opportunities to cover established hosts.
