There has been a significant departure from many cities throughout the country by those seeking a quieter, more nature connected lifestyle. We often muse if this is even an eventuality for us as we grow into our golden years or just a dream. My guest this week on Vox Novus, Margaret Dulaney, lived this dream. After 18 years of living in Manhattan, she and her husband traded in their hectic city life for the peace of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Taking on one hundred acres of neglected farmland, they discovered a rich community of souls, both human and animal. Margaret Dulaney wrote for the theater in New York City for years before she moved to rural Pennsylvania to pursue nonfiction. After many years, and a closet full of writings, she founded “Listen Well”, her spoken word website offering once-monthly recorded essays championing hope, and the ultimate, inescapable awakening of the individual soul.
