Ms. Margaret Gordon founded the West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project (WOEIP) in 1999 to tackle air pollution in her neighborhood. WOEIP seeks to reduce both indoor and outdoor air pollution through research, data collection, organizing and political advocacy.
