Mari Frank Interviews Dave Wiggins, law enforcement and security and tourism safety expert

Dave is the past president of the Southern California Tourism Safety & Security Association, a non-profit collaboration of law enforcement, security professionals, attraction operators, travel professionals, tourism industry representatives and others dedicated to the exchange of tourist crime and safety information, education, and professional networking. Dave is an 18-year veteran of Southern California law enforcement, and currently works on community and tourist oriented policing projects. He has authored articles, and been interviewed for a variety of magazines and newspapers, regarding tourism security trends. Dave was honored by the Orange County Tourism Council with their Chairman's Award, the first time the Council has recognized a member of law enforcement. Dave received the 2005 Special Recognition Award from his agency, as well as a U.S. Congressional certificate of commendation for his initiatives in promoting improved visitor security.
