Rebecca Herold, CIPP, CISSP, CISM, CISM, FLMI, "The Privacy Professor," has over two decades of information security, privacy and compliance experience. She's been named as a Computerworld "Best Privacy Advisor" multiple times, and also as a "Top 59 Influencers in IT Security" by IT Security magazine. The program Rebecca created was awarded the 1998 CSI Information Security Program of the Year Award. She is currently leading the NIST Smart Grid standards committee privacy impact assessment. In 2008 Rebecca's blog was named one of the "Top 50 Internet Security Blogs" by the Daily Netizen and in September 2009 her blog was named a "Top 100 Science Professor Blog." Rebecca assists organizations of all sizes and industries throughout the world. Rebecca has created a wide range of information security, privacy and compliance tools, products and services. She also offers a range of standard and customized one and two-day workshops including one addressing how individuals across disciplines can work together to most effectively assure privacy and regulatory compliance while efficiently implementing security controls. Rebecca is working on her 14th book, writes multiple monthly columns, creates the quarterly "Protecting Information" multi-media information security and privacy awareness subscription news journal and provides effective information security and privacy tools and online training courses.
