Maria Baltazar - Farmers & Merchants Bank and the Junior Board of Directors

This week’s show is going to be a lot of fun, Maria Baltazar, from Farmers & Merchants Bank, is here to talk about her interesting life, plus she will be telling us about the Junior Board of Directors program that the bank sponsors every year! Maria was born in Mexico and moved to the United States as a young child with her parents, right here to Eatonton. You will hear about what it was like to go to school and not able to speak a word of English. Maria is amazing, and you’ll hear how her hard work and perseverance paid off! She was actually a participant in the Jr. Board when she was a senior in high school, and now she runs the program for the bank, talk about a great story! She is a product of the program and can speak to it, literally first hand! This is a wonderful opportunity for high school seniors to participate in a program that teaches them leadership, teamwork, personal finance and so much more. And, as a special treat, we also have three of the students in this year’s program in the studio to talk about their experience serving on the Junior Board! Bernabe Meraz, Jesse Archebelle and Noah Bennett will tell us why they decided to apply for the opportunity and some of their takeaways from being in the program. They’ll tell us what they enjoy doing in their spare time and even give us a glimpse of what’s ahead for them as they look toward graduation. And they’ll let all the rising seniors from the area high schools know why they should apply to the program, while the bank is still accepting applications, through April 21.
