from MLB Baseball News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The Mariners stunned the hot-shooting Diamondbacks with a gritty 3-2 extra-innings win, their sixth straight victory and third series sweep of the year. Randy Arozarena scored the game-winning run in the 10th after a masterful sequence — intentional walk, sacrifice bunt, then Victor Robles’ bobbled grounder. Cole Young and Dominic Canzone each homered, and the Mariners’ offense exploded with 11 hits while the Diamondbacks’ pitching couldn’t hold the lead. Luis Castillo and Bryce Miller combined for a dominant 10-inning shutout. Up next: Mariners face the Mets, while the Diamondbacks turn to the Dodgers at home.
