Mark Chapters 15-16

In this episode, we read Mark chapters 15 and 16, bringing the Gospel of Mark to its powerful conclusion. These chapters recount the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ — the foundation of the Christian faith. We see Jesus endure suffering, rejection, and the cross with humility and obedience, as He is crucified and laid in a tomb. But the story does not end there. On the third day, the tomb is found empty, and the resurrection is announced, declaring victory over sin and death. Mark 15–16 reminds us of the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice and the power of His resurrection, offering hope, forgiveness, and new life to all who believe.
