Mark Lawrence And Paul Welcomer

Bone2Pick heads west for an impromptu sit down with two San Francisco Symphony stalwarts, former principal trombonist Mark Lawrence and current trombonist Paul Welcomer. Mark and Paul generously share their thoughts on what it takes to build a successful orchestral career, how to navigate through the demanding audition process, what playing qualities they value most in colleagues and students and who their major influences were outside of the trombone. Filmed at Long Meadow Ranch Winery in Napa Valley, CA. Enjoy! http://www.hip-bonemusic.com Check out our video lesson series at: http://vimeo.com/hipbonemusic/vod_pages
