He currently serves as chairman and CEO of the Institute of Ecotechnics (US) and also the head of Wastewater Gardens International.   Dr. Nelson was one of the members of the crew of eight Biospherians who entered Biosphere 2 in Oracle, Arizona for the first closure experiment spanning two years, 1991-1993.
