Mark Santiago | Should You Stay Married For The Kids?

Divorce isn’t the tragedy the tragedy is staying in an unhappy marriage… Just because a child gets older does not mean that they are better equipped to handle a divorce. It will hurt them whether they are 5 or 25.  What your children are dying to see is two people committed to working on their marriage rather than living a life in a toxic or loveless marriage. The biggest problem with kids who grow up seeing a toxic marriage or a loveless relationship, is they become the kids who believe that codependency or violence is a normal part of a relationship.  By staying for the kids you’re teaching your children a pattern that is hard to break.
