Singapore shares nudged higher today, as investors’ focus remained on the US interest rate outlook. The Straits Times Index was up 0.12% at 4,512.30 points at 1.54pm Singapore time, with a value turnover of S$499.27M seen in the broader market. In terms of counters to watch, we have OCBC, after the bank’s mezzanine capital unit announced that it has invested in the development of a US$1.5 billion low-carbon steel plant in Malaysia’s Sabah state, scheduled for commissioning by 2030.
