Actually define your goals. Make them measurable and reasonable. Keep them as simple as possible. Drawing a line in the sand on what’s important to reach those goals. We are all overburdened with information, but what is actionable? I don’t believe that daily wires are a lot of use to the average producer because they are often filled with a lot of information that isn’t relevant to the task at hand. I know because I’ve been on both ends of many marketing wires. Truly put together a breakeven cost of production. I favor it on a per acre basis. This number only matters to the farm, but it can greatly increase the confidence in making decisions. Put together a marketing plan with your needs in mind. So, let’s unpack what this looks like.
