About Colin Lewis: Colin is the Director of Marketing for bmi - British Midland Airlines - working in the UK and, indeed, commuting there. Colin held senior marketing roles in huge UK brands such as 118 118 Directory Enquiries and Thomas CookColin has just been selected as one of the UK's top marketers, as he has been chosen as one of Marketing Week’s 2015 Vision 100 – the 'brightest, best, most visionary Marketers in the UK in April 2015. In 2009, Colin was voted 'Marketer of the Year' in Ireland, and is a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. Colin has an MBA and MSc degrees.. He is the Founder and Programmer of DMX Dublin digital marketing conference. And at the start of the podcast, a report from the recent Phocuswrigt Europe conference; the event is  fast gaining a reputation as Europe’s  premier conference for high level travel executives to understand what’s happening in the business...and for new tech start ups to get on the radar. In the podcast I speak to the winners and runners-up in the European Travel Innovator of the Year Award at Phocuswrite Europe, respectively Charlie Osborne, from Triptease, and Kevin O'Shaughnessy from Indigo.  At the start of the podcast I speak to keynote speaker Marco Ryan, Chief Digital Officer of Thomas Cook Group....The company  is a vast organisation which is strongly vertically and horizantally integrated offering numerous opportunities to interact with their customers...I begin by asking Marco to outline the advantages and disadvantatges of having so many touch points.
