“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Proverbs 14:12 (NIV)Proverbs 14:15 warns that our messages or marketing presentations may seem wise or harmless but can still lead to disappointment or harm. I call this ‘perfuming the pig’. We must be careful not to compromise our Biblical principles of conducting business in a manner greater than expected in return, just to pursue a transaction. Many marketing presentations sparkle but lack substance, relying on the presenter's credibility and motivational language rather than truth. Faint distortions in claims can be dangerous, blending familiar but fundamentally flawed elements. I call this counterfeit clarity of compromise.Proverbs advises wise listening: don’t trust impressive signals without verifying their source, core, and truth. Clear communication and genuine faith require us to avoid false clarity in our interactions; if it lacks Biblical truth, it’s a distortion, no matter how appealing. This is a public episode.
