Marks Of A Christian - LOVE (1Corinthians 13:1-13)

You just say “I Corinthians 13” and someone will say, “Oh, I love that passage!” It is sometimes referred to as “The Wedding Passage.” I fear that many like it in the way we might like it the way that we like an Italian opera. It is beautiful to listen to, but they haven’t the slightest idea what the beautiful words mean. Paul did not write these words to be hung on a wall as a plaque, or to be recited from time-to time. He wrote them to inform some people who had gotten off track that they needed to get their priorities straight, and their greatest priority should be love. With all the rudeness, self-centeredness, meanness and impatience in our world today, I think it is a good time to revisit “The Love Chapter” and take its message deep into our souls.
