Zusak debuterade 1999 med boken "Knock", men fick sitt stora internationella genombrott 2005 med "Boktjuven" som översatts till mer än 40 språk. Zusak har tilldelats en rad priser, bland annat Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis och Kathleen Mitchell Award. Ika Johannesson är kulturjournalist, publicist, programledare och författare.
