Marlon Stewart Brings Tournament DNA to UTSA

UTSA just landed a championship-caliber coach: Marlon Stewart, who brings seven NCAA Tournament runs, two Sweet Sixteen trips, and an Elite Eight appearance to San Antonio. After seven seasons at Oregon State — where he helped them reach the Elite Eight and win their first Pac-12 Tournament title — Stewart’s resume includes stops at Hawai’i, Montana, and Virginia, including a Big Sky title as defensive coordinator. He’s drawn to UTSA by head coach Austin Claunch’s culture-building approach, and with his track record of developing winning programs, this hire could be a major step toward something special.
