Marriage- How to get it All right - Listener email

Recently, one of our listeners found himself in a place of frustration.His question, "How do you keep everything going, how do You get it all right"(Paraphrased).I am sure my answer to him wasn't exactly what he was looking for. The fact of the matter is we aren't robots. The beauty of being a human being is simply this: we aren't perfect. That should be refreshingly frustrating... Truth be told its our imperfections, our proclivities to failure and resiliency, our desire to grow and better ourselves that allow us to appreciate this human experience. Free will and choice, without those there is certainly no real righteousness, no real truth, no real.. Real.I rely greatly on the idea we can build a routine and a process in order that we can re-define ourselves and our direction, I however, no longer believe perfection is the only acceptable outcome. I have done away with the false idea that we can be perfect at something. perfection demands perfection each and every time we act, I set the standard at excellence. It recognizes our humanity and releases us from unrealistic expectations. It recognizes that we are on a journey growing towards the highest standard in order that we may honor our one true gift, Life.I build a process and live it intentionally, some of these steps become a part of my "OS" or my new nature, some I leave behind and I fail. These failures present opportunities for growth and areas where love covers the gaps in moments drowned by busy or chaos.
