Married people are less likely to have cancer than single people
from The Tara Show
A growing body of medical research discussed on The Tara Show suggests a compelling link between relationship status and health, indicating that married individuals may have a significantly lower risk of developing or succumbing to cancer compared to those who are single. Experts point to the strong support systems provided by marriage, which often lead to earlier cancer detection as partners are more likely to encourage regular screenings and notice physical changes. Additionally, the psychological and financial stability typically associated with a long-term partnership can lower chronic stress levels, which bolsters the immune system and improves the overall prognosis and survival rates for those undergoing treatment.

00:00 You know what's amazingly is how much modern medical advice that's based on science can actually be found in the Bible before they really had this science thing. What did God want us to do? Pair off, marry, be fruitful, multiply, do those things, right? Well, then we find out it's because it's good for you. And science backs that up again. And again, the biggest ever study 00:28 and there've been many before it, but this is the biggest one ever done, that's why it's a big deal, finds never married adults face higher risk of developing cancer. I saw something about that this morning, yeah, that's interesting. It's really interesting because they actually divided people into multiple groups, never married, divorced, so you have been married, and widowed, and then married couples. 00:58 highest highest 01:26 Some might call it a fight, but it's not quite up to that level yet. And it doesn't stop, right? Like it'll start to stop temporarily so I can help with the homework and then it resumes. Sort of like a ceasefire. Yeah, like that. Yeah, that gets broken a lot like Iran. Yes, exactly. Thank you. Yeah. And what we're brawling about, and I can tell you this because I know he's not listening right now, my husband is an absolute idiot when it comes to being a tough guy because he's a Marine. No, really. He OK, so in his world, if you get if you give into weakness, 01:56 you're less of a man, he's an old fashioned guy. And I like that about him, right? It's one of the things I find attractive, except when he hurts himself. And he will not give up his workout for anything, okay? That's cool if you're not gonna give up, because you're going up a hill and you're huffing and puffing and you could be cardiovascularly stronger. Great, I admire that. When the problem is you have a knee injury that has turned into an infection because you won't stop working out, and now you've got water on your knee, and we know that from an x-ray. 02:26 And I told you yesterday not to work out, no two days ago not to work out, that's crazy. So you wait till I'm gone and you go do it. 02:34 You can clearly see my side of this, right, Lee? Yeah. I am right about this. So I've been brawling with him for two days. And goes on and on and on and on. I finally extracted a promise that he will not work out for two days. I'm like, two days, two weeks. Are you crazy? All right, two days. So we'll be like, I ran, right? We're going to come back for another ceasefire after that. I'm going try to get two more days, right? And I'm telling him, I'm looking stuff up. I'm like, the recovery time from knee surgery is 03:02 Four months, there's gonna be four months without walking, tough guy. You know how fat you'll be at the end of that? It'll drive him crazy. He can't stand and not work out, it drives him crazy. And I'm like, is not, this you do, you cannot tough guy a knee injury. Duh! Well, there are other exercises you can do. Yeah, thank you. And I have struggled with this too, because I'm trying to go to the gym at least five days out of the week, sometimes six, or at least walk, you know, at the house. But I'm trying to do the... 03:30 you know, the lifting machines and all this stuff, because I'm still trying to keep the weight off. And there have been times, and I've had knee problems too, I've got a different kind of problem, I haven't had surgery, but I've got a thing that will flare up every now and then, and uh I've had to have times when I don't walk on the walking track or you know, or run or whatever for a while. But there's other leg exercises you can do that don't necessarily stress that knee. And obviously there's things you can do for the core and upper body that would also be, you know, 04:01 cardiovascular and be able to keep weight off and burn up some calories. That's the main thing you want to do is burn up those excess calories. In tough guy world. That's just weakness, what you just said right there. Yes, and I'm a ...
