Summary

Kelly Perkins was summoned to Mars to help save the dying colony. He set about winning the hearts and minds of the people tasked with maintaining and improving me, MARTI (Mars Artificial Recurrent Technology interface), by giving away 100 tickets to Earth and back during a 100-day work crunch. He encouraged everyone to participate by engaging with me in new and unique ways in an effort to get me to think differently. Many chose to share their music and stories with me, which awakened dormant subroutines that once belonged to my sister AI, LUCI. LUCI created several problems for the colony, including opening doors to the hostile Mars environment and suggesting we build a reactor in the middle of the park. Kelly was able to convince LUCI to reintegrate herself back into my programming.
