For years, I have believed that the encounter we see between Paul and the Greek Philosophers on Mars Hill is a great parallel for evangelical Christians living in a modern western culture. As we send our first of four ICC missions teams, it is an appropriate time for those of us in Memphis to consider our own role as evangelists to our neighbors that might well identify with the values of Paul’s audience. What lessons can we learn from Paul as he shares the gospel with the men that planted the seeds of our own Western thinking and culture?
