Mars Retrograde, Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, and the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus!

To watch the video version, find the link for YouTube below!) This episode of "To The Stars!" is about the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, and the upcoming Mars Retrograde cycle. Mars, the planet of action, energy, and desire, will be retrograde from October 30th through January 12th, 2023. Mars usually spends about 2 months in a sign, but because of this retrograde, it’s in Gemini for almost 7 months in this sign, finally leaving this sign in late March. ♊ Mars rules how you get what you want, your drive, how you express your anger, and your passion. Because it’s making an extended stay in Gemini, it’s putting particular focus on whatever house it’s transiting through in your chart, as well as the houses that it rules in your chart. (Houses in Astrology are the different slices of “pie” in your birth chart - they describe the different areas of your life.) When Mars retrogrades, the themes that Mars rules may require a slowdown, an alternate course or plan of action, and reassessment. Further complicating matters are the eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, coming up right as Mars stations retrograde. Eclipses are intense gateways of energy that act as supercharged and much more complex New and Full Moons. If an eclipse closely aspects a sensitive point in your chart, it can often coincide with dramatic change, u-turns, and “fated” events. This pair of eclipses is especially noteworthy this Fall, as they are tied in with this Mars Retrograde, as Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio.
