Martin Chuzzlewit Chapter 8

In which Mr Pecksniff and his two daughters undertake a chilly and somewhat tumultuous journey to London by coach, encountering familiar yet irksome acquaintances along the way and observing the curious interplay of human nature within their confined travelling party. Upon their arrival, they find lodgings in a humble and somewhat dingy boarding-house, where old friends and new arrangements greet them amidst the fog and bustle of the awakening city.
